WANTED: VOLUNTEER TRANSCRIBER

Dear Listeners,

We have had a very important request from a hearing impared listener, who would like to be able to read the content of our podcast, because he can't hear it. Unfortunately, we simply don't have the resources to be able to offer this additional - but important - service to our deaf listeners at this time.

As you're probably aware, we put many hours each month into researching, recording and editing to give you all a professional sounding podcast each month, and for those of you who have heard it you will know that much of our content is unscripted.

A transcription of each episode costs approx. US$45 per episode to have professionally transcribed.

Presently we don't have any financial sponsorship or advertising to be able to fund this important service, so we are seeking your help: either as a volunteer transcriber or with donations to help support this service.

For a fast typer we believe that transcription may take an hour and a half per episode. We'd need submissions typed on a computer in either text format or in Microsoft Word format. Where possible we'd ask that each episode be transcribed within a week of release on our website. We can certainly notify you when the podcast is ready for release, and if prepared early, give you access to the prepared podcast early. Ideally we'd love a number of people so that the load can be shared.

WHAT CAN I DO?

VOLUNTEER
If you feel inclined to contribute to the In Spirit Podcast, you could make a huge difference by offering to transcribe an episode or two for us. If you are interested in helping us spread the word about the podcast then please send us a message.

OR DONATE
We have also created a donate button so that you send money for this important service. To donate using your credit card, bank account or paypal, click the link below.
